The office borders are approached via a metal tunnel planted with apple ‘Sunset’. The main feature is a multi stemmed Birch tree under planted with clipped box balls for structure and surrounded by white flowered shrubs and perennials. Highlights include Iris sibirica ‘White Swirl’, Allium ‘Mont Blanc’ and Exochorda x macrantha ‘The Bride’ in May. Salvia sclaraea ‘Turkestanica’ fills the border in mid summer followed by Echinacea ‘White Swan’ and Panicum ‘Heavy Metal’.

The Chimney pot garden is on the right as you pass through the tunnel, planted with a colourful array of bulbs perennials and climbers with interest from spring to late summer. Laid out in 2004. In April Tulip “Abu Hassan’ steals the show in conjuction with Erysimum ‘Bowles Mauve’. Kniphofia ‘Jenny Bloom’, Salvia ‘East Friesland’ and Lilium ‘Fire King’ provide a striking combination in summer. Echinacea ‘Sunset’, Crocosmia ‘James Coey’ and Nicotiana alata carry the display on into late summer.

Beyond the Office borders, the Holly walk leads to the Pergola or right to the walled garden.
